Shopping is really a lot diverse now then it was back in 1960.I live in Altoona, Pennsylvania, back in 1960 the population was about 60.000 people. There was no shopping centers to pay a visit to.Once you wanted to go shopping for a couple of thing like shoes, socks, property hold things and other Goods we had to go downtown in Altoona,to do our shopping.

all of the stores in downtown Altoona was contained on about 10 square city blocks long and about 2 square city blocks wide. Mostly folks went shopping on Saturday morning.That was mostly the biggest shopping day of the week.very first you drove to downtown in Atoona and tried to find a parking space.In downtown Altoona the road was one way traffic going threw downtown Altoona.You had 2 lanes, going the same way.also you could park on the left side of the street or the correct hand side of the steet.
And they all had the Parkers meters.

As you realize all the stores did not have their own parking lots exactly where people could park in their parking lots and shop in their stores.There was a few small parking lots,downtown. But those parking lots were Paid parking lots. Mainly these parking lots were for those who worked downtown. And incredibly should you wanted to shop downtown you either put funds into the parking meter or you paid to park your car in a paid parking lots.Or you could find parking about 5 or 6 blocks away and walk to the stores.

When you get to your very first store and get what you want, then you have to wait to checkout.You stand in line for 10 to 15 minutes and finally you get checked out.
Then you visit the second store after which the subsequent store and repeat this until you might well be carried out shopping.And all the time you are shopping from store to store you call for to carry all of the things you purchased and Once you go into a store carrying issues they had individuals checking the things you had purchased at other stores.Then after your accomplished shopping you did not have a shopping cart to push to your car.You had to carry each and eextremelything to you … [-]
